Solarfective

Experience & Background
We have supplied and installed a variety of commercial window covering since 1971. From the beginning, we have concentrated on complex commercial projects and quality architectural installations. This focus has been instrumental in building our unique team with years of experience and expertise in dealing with large, complex installations. We specialize in meeting the needs of diverse design criteria with strict manufacturing and scheduling demands. The variety of commercial projects we regularly complete range from hotels, office buildings and corporate campuses, residential complexes, financial institutions, and bio-tech and medical facilities. Meeting the needs of such diverse projects contributes to the consistent growth of skill and expertise in our Window Covering division.

As a result of our performance and quality service we were able to become Northern California’s exclusive Distributor of Solarfective Shades in 1999. We have gained the confidence of some of the most prestigious building owners, management firms, developers, and general contractors in Northern California with this product. Some of our more recent window covering projects include: Avalon Towers, Bank of America, Blue Shield, Chevron of Concord facilities, Gap Corporate facilities, Gap World Headquarters, the Hamptons of Cupertino, Listen.com, Mercy Retirement, Montgomery Securities, NBCi, Netcentives, Oakland Administration, Safeway, San Francisco Civic Center, Thomas Weisel Partners, Underwriter’s Laboratories, Wells Fargo office facilities and The Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose

In addition to supplying, manufacturing, installing and maintaining shades, draperies, blinds, and verticals, our team specializes in motorized systems for any window treatment, including such complex projects as the 21-foot diameter skylight shades for the atrium at The Tech Museum, San Jose. Using custom engineered Solarfective Shades with two motorized semi-circular shades held flat across the span by aircraft cables, concealed counterweights and a built in guide system, the Museum can black-out their atrium with a simple push of a button.
